A small city with two kinds of customers
Artesia covers less than two square miles and is bordered by Cerritos on most sides. It started as a dairy town, and today its best-known stretch is Pioneer Boulevard, the heart of the area many people call Little India, lined with restaurants, sweet shops and markets. The residential streets around it are mostly modest single-family homes from the 1950s and 60s, plus apartments and condos.
That gives us two very different kinds of work here. At home, it's family grills, griddles and the occasional built-in island. In restaurants, it's flat-tops, charbroilers and outdoor grills that run all day and build up grease far faster than any backyard grill.
Restaurants and food businesses
A commercial charbroiler or flat-top under heavy use needs a cleaning schedule that matches how hard it works. Grease buildup in the burner area and under the grates causes flare-ups, uneven heat and, eventually, a fire risk. We do commercial grill cleaning before or after service hours, so the kitchen doesn't have to shut down mid-day.
We focus on the cooking equipment itself: grates, burners, radiants, drip trays and the grease path. Hood and duct cleaning is a separate trade, and we'll tell you if we see something there that needs attention. Our guide to commercial cleaning schedules gives a sense of how often different setups need service.
How a commercial visit works
- 1
Walk-through
We look at the equipment, how it's used and when the kitchen is quiet, and agree on a schedule.
- 2
Off-hours service
We arrive before opening or after close, cool equipment only, and protect the floor and line.
- 3
Degrease and inspect
Grates, burners and trays are cleaned with food-safe degreasers. We check ignition, pilots and valves while everything is apart.
- 4
Notes for the manager
You get a short summary of what we did and anything that needs repair before the next visit.

Backyards in Artesia cook a wider range of food than most. Alongside the usual gas grill, we see flat-tops used for breakfast and street-style dishes, charcoal setups for kebabs and tandoori-style cooking, and the occasional outdoor pizza or bread oven. Each wears differently. High, dry heat cracks thin heat plates, sticky marinades carbonize on grates, and griddles collect oil in the trough faster than owners expect.
We clean and repair all of it, and we'll tell you which parts on your setup need attention most often. Our guide to cleaning an outdoor pizza oven is useful if you have one.
