DuarteGrill Cleaning & BBQ Repair

Our technicians come to your Duarte home with everything needed to clean, repair or replace your grill. Freestanding carts on the patio, built-ins in a backyard island, smokers and fire pits all get the same careful work.

Duarte has two kinds of backyard. North of Royal Oaks Drive the streets climb toward the foothills, the lots get bigger and the brush is close. South of the 210 it's mostly mid-century tract homes with flat yards, block walls and a grill against the fence. The grills in each place wear out in different ways, so it helps to know what to look for.

Up near the canyons

Homes along the foothill edge get more wildlife, more spiders and more wind. Webs inside the burner tubes are probably the most common reason we get called out for a grill that lights on one side only, or burns with a soft, yellow flame. It's a quick fix once the burners are out, and we explain it in spiders in burner tubes.

Wind coming down out of the San Gabriels carries dust and, in a bad year, ash. That grit gets into hinges and knob shafts and turns the grease in the firebox into something closer to sludge. If your grill sits in the open up here, a cleaning before summer and another in late fall is a reasonable rhythm.

Down in the flats

On the south side, the issue is heat and use. Duarte summers run hot, and a grill sitting in full sun on a west-facing patio takes a beating: knobs fade and crack, plastic bezels warp, and the grease tray bakes into a solid slab. Grills here also tend to get used a lot, for weeknight dinners and weekend parties alike, so grease builds faster than people expect.

Many of the original built-ins in these neighborhoods went in decades ago and are now on their second or third set of burners. When burners rust through or the valves get stiff, we'll give you an honest call on whether repair or replacement makes more sense. We can also fit a new grill into the old island if the cutout allows.

Before your appointment

None of this is required, but it helps the visit go quickly.

  • Make sure the gas shutoff for the grill is reachable, not buried behind patio furniture.
  • If you use propane, leave the tank connected so we can test the regulator and hose.
  • Let us know about dogs in the yard and any side gate codes.
  • Find the model tag if you can (often on the back panel, inside a door or under the drip tray).
  • Tell us about anything odd you've noticed: a gas smell, a burner that won't light, flames rolling out the front.

Duarte grill FAQ

Why does my grill only light on one side?

Most often it's a blocked burner tube, a dirty igniter on that side, or a carryover channel packed with grease. All three are things we fix on a normal visit.

Do you service fire pits too?

Yes. Gas fire pits and outdoor fireplaces are part of what we do, including pilots, thermocouples and valves.

How do I get a price?

Call or text us, or send a couple of photos of the grill and its model tag. Pricing depends on size, brand, condition and any parts needed.
