One name, many neighborhoods
Mid-Wilshire is less a single neighborhood than a loose area along Wilshire Boulevard between Beverly Hills and Koreatown. It takes in the Miracle Mile and Museum Row, Park La Brea, Carthay Circle and South Carthay, Brookside, Fremont Place and the blocks around the Fairfax district and the Grove. Most of it was built between the 1920s and early 1940s, and it's flat, walkable and dense by Westside standards.
What people mean by "home" varies a lot from block to block. There are Spanish and Tudor duplexes, single-family houses on modest lots, garden apartment complexes, and towers along Wilshire with shared pool decks and roof terraces.
What we see on Mid-Wilshire calls
In rough order of how often they come up:
- Grills that haven't had a real cleaning in years and now flare up constantly
- Igniters that click but don't catch
- Burners rusted from grease and moisture sitting in the firebox
- A grill shared between the upstairs and downstairs units of a duplex that nobody owns the cleaning of
- Balcony grills in condo towers that need a cleaning before a unit is listed or rented
- Older propane grills on patios where a natural gas line already exists
Duplexes and shared backyards
The two-story duplex with a shared yard is one of the signature building types of this part of Los Angeles. When a grill is shared, it usually ends up neglected. If you're an owner renting the other unit, or two tenants splitting a yard, a scheduled cleaning settles the question of whose turn it is. Our maintenance plans put the grill on a calendar, and the rental grill care guide has tips for landlords.
Many of these yards were paved or redone at some point, and some owners have added a gas stub for a grill. If that's you and you're still using a propane tank, ask us about converting to natural gas, if your grill model supports it.

Can you clean a grill in a condo tower on Wilshire?
Yes. We'll follow the building's rules for elevators and work hours, and we can provide a certificate of insurance if management needs one.
I just moved into a place with an old grill. Is it safe?
Have it checked before you use it. Old hoses crack, and burners can be blocked by spiders or debris. An inspection covers the gas connections, burners and igniter.
What's the difference between a regular and a deep cleaning?
A regular cleaning covers the grates and cooking area. A deep cleaning takes the grill apart. Our basic vs. deep cleaning guide explains it.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on size, brand, condition and parts. Call or text us or send a couple of photos for a quote.
