Space to spread out
San Dimas still feels like a small town with a western streak. There are equestrian neighborhoods with trails along the streets, homes on generous lots in the foothills north of Foothill Boulevard, and gated communities like Via Verde on the hills to the south near Bonelli Park. Downtown has kept its older character, with mid-century homes on the surrounding blocks.
When people have room, they collect cooking equipment. It's common for us to show up in San Dimas and find a built-in gas grill, a pellet smoker, an offset smoker, and a gas fire pit all in the same backyard. We can service all of them on one visit, which saves you scheduling four different people.

Learn moreDust, heat and barn neighbors
Horse properties and open hillsides mean dust. It drifts onto grill hoods, sticks to the grease film, and turns into a gritty paste that clogs burner ports over time. Flies and spiders are drawn to grills near barns and pastures, and spiders in particular love burner tubes. The result is a grill that lights with a yellow, lazy flame or backfires at the knob.
Add San Dimas summer heat, which often sits near or above 100 in July and August, and grease bakes on fast. A cleaning before summer and a quick check after the fall winds handles most of it. If you want to keep an eye on things yourself, our spiders in burner tubes guide shows what to look for.

San Dimas FAQ
My pellet smoker keeps flaming out. Can you fix it?
Often. The usual suspects are a failed hot rod igniter, an auger jam from damp pellets, or a dirty firepot. See our smoker maintenance guide.
Can you do the grill and fire pit in one visit?
Yes. Tell us everything you'd like looked at when you book so we plan enough time.
Do you come out to properties at the end of long private roads?
Yes. Just give us directions or a gate code ahead of time.
What does service cost?
It depends on what equipment you have and its condition. Call or text, or send photos, and we'll quote it.
